Match Reports 2 May 2021
U7 Red won 2-1 at home against Seaford, though we could have scored more and kept Seaford in their own half for most of the game. Lads really enjoying their footy and have a great team spirit
U8 Green performed extremely well today playing their first game away v Berwick. We came away 5-2 winners ✅
U8 Yellow boys drew away against Cheltenham today, we nicked a goal with a few minutes remaining. Well done to the other
teams, some great wins
U8 Blues managed a 3-1 win vs Pen Strikers to make it two wins on the trot (not that we are keeping score of course
U8 Reds were solidly beaten by a Glen Waverley side that definitely had an edge in experience over our boys. The game
started in their favour and continued that way throughout. First half saw GWSC up by 5-0. 2nd half was a different game with the MESC boys
keeping the 2nd half to 2-1 and Aemon scoring a cracking 1st goal for the team. Couldn’t be happier with the way the boys kept their heads
up to fight on in the 2nd half. Final Result 7-1
U9 Reds - Proud of the under 9 Reds, we have a good developing, managed to beat Rosebud 10-0. Thanks to Fernando
for playing matched against us midweek.
U10 Gold Well done everyone!! We lost for the second successive game, 4-1 to Rosebud. Sounds strange to say with that score but we had enough chances to win it . Manager under pressure, the ravens are circling
U10 Green had a win today , 5 - 4.It was a great comeback as we were 4 - 2 down early in the 2nd 1/2. Really hard running in attack and structure in defence led to the win
U12 Kangaroos Playing at home to our cousins at Langwarrin.Always a competitive match from two evenly matched teams. A
strong start by The Reds with plenty of opportunities was halted by one of The two attempts on goal Langwarrin had all day. The other only
kept out by an excellent save from our keeper Jarvis. The second half was all Mt Eliza however nothing could get past Langys keeper,And
with some exciting football being played, we just couldn’t find a winner. Not even from a well placed cross to the back post to be gently
given back to the keeper Solid performance from all with special mention to Louie, Woody, Jarvis.
U15 Tough game away at Monbulk at the best pitch in the league. Would be amazing to have a main synthetic pitch and
training ground like this one-undercover spectator area, cafe and indoor social rooms. Early start and nice drive up too. The final whistle
couldn’t come soon enough as we went down fighting 14-0. Well played to all the boys-Alex, Jake, Harry and Brock all outstanding with great
efforts from Sam and Scott. We keep going.
U16 boys picked up their first win of the season with a well-deserved 7-5 win over Pakenham at EMR. Despite going 3-0 down
inside the first 20 minutes, they fought for every ball and eventually took control of what was a thoroughly competitive and enthralling
game.Super proud of the intensity and sprit of the boys today who ran their hearts out. Also very pleased to see them stand up to some
aggression from the other team but also hold their discipline in the face of some provocation. A great turnaround from having been beaten
7-1 by the same side last time out.Now one win from three but we have something solid to build on. Well done lads!
Seniors A tale of two sides for the adults. Ressies are unbeaten in three and sit top of the league. Won today 5-1 against
Old Peninsula.
Seniors lost 3-2 with a 98th minute winner from Endeavour Hills Fire. The Ref had a stinker as I'm sure @John Barford will agree
