Ground Marshal at Mount Eliza Soccer Club
The basic role of a ground Marshal at Mount Eliza Soccer club.
Each team from Mount Eliza Soccer Club at both home and away games needs to provide a Ground Marshal from the Parent Group
from that team for their game.
It is important to remember the Ground Marshal is not a security guard, its more about traffic management and observations.
The Job Basics…
- Wear a Ground Marshal Bib.
- Liaise with the opposition team’s Ground Marshal to advise/find out where Spectators should stand.
- Stand with the Referee at Half Time (especially if a junior Referee).
- Observe Crowd behaviour.

If poor behaviour in the Opposition Crowd.
- Ask the Opposition Ground Marshal to look after the issue.

If poor behaviour in your Crowd.

Ask the person to desist from that behaviour or alternatively ask a parent who knows the person to ask them to desist from the behaviour.
- Stand with the Referee after the game (especially if a junior Referee).
Team Managers- It is up to you how you roster the Ground Marshal however one team at least sets the Fuit/Snakes/Ground
Marshal roster each match as the same person. That way it’s easy to remember who is doing what.
