Mount Eliza Soccer Club based on the Mornington Peninsula was founded in 2008, the brainchild of Peter Mcloughlin and Mike Etheridge who
both realised that there was little soccer being played on the Peninsula & none at all in the Mt. Eliza Village. It began by sending
flyers around a few local schools. The first year we had a total of only 9 players forming one under 7’s team playing in the local
Bayside League, word spread & we contacted more Mt. Eliza Schools & by our second season we had grown to 56 players,In 2014
without any form of advertising we garnered 160 kids and in 2011 the club had around 180 members aged from 4 to 10 years old.
